Nurturing All-Round Growth
Inside the Primary Section at Union High School

The formative years of a child’s life are crucial in shaping not only their academic abilities but also their character, values, and overall worldview. At Union High School, the Primary Section stands as a vibrant space where young learners are nurtured in every aspect of their growth — academic, social, physical, emotional, and cultural.

A Balanced Curriculum

The Primary Section follows a well-rounded curriculum designed to develop core skills in literacy, numeracy, and general knowledge while integrating arts, physical education, and life skills. Learning is interactive and activity-based, encouraging young minds to ask questions, think critically, and express themselves confidently.

Education is more than just textbooks and tests. Recognizing this, Union High School places equal emphasis on holistic development. The Primary Section’s curriculum is thoughtfully designed to cater to the diverse needs of every child, fostering a balanced growth that prepares them for life beyond the classroom.

Nurturing Environment

Union High School believes in creating a nurturing environment where each child’s individuality is respected and celebrated. Teachers here are more than instructors — they’re mentors, guides, and caring friends who take time to understand each student’s strengths, needs, and personality.

Classrooms are bright and engaging, equipped with age-appropriate learning materials and technology that support creative teaching methods. Special emphasis is placed on moral values, good manners, and teamwork, ensuring students grow not just academically but as well-rounded individuals.

Beyond the Classroom

Education in the Primary Section extends well beyond textbooks. Regular co-curricular activities such as drawing, storytelling, music, dance, and games ensure that children experience holistic development. Annual events, field trips, and cultural programs give students opportunities to explore new interests and showcase their talents.

Union High School ensures that students learn the values of empathy, kindness, teamwork, & responsibility through group activities, collaborative projects, social awareness programs. Specially designed sessions help children express their emotions, manage stress, & build confidence – creating a foundation for positive mental health.

Parent Involvement

Union High School actively encourages parental involvement, recognizing that a child’s success is a partnership between the school and home. Regular parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and family events create a collaborative atmosphere where parents feel valued and engaged in their child’s educational journey.

We offer a variety of opportunities for parents to engage with the school and be part of their child’s early learning experiences such as Parent-Teacher Meetings, Classroom Assistance, School Events & Celebrations, Workshops & Seminars, Parent Committees etc.  Our goal is to create a warm, inclusive environment where every parent feels valued and involved. By working together, we nurture not only our students’ academic growth but also their confidence, creativity, and sense of belonging.
